From the Heart of a Tradition

Grandson of the world-famous dancer T. Balasaraswati, Aniruddha Knight performs the early 19th-century Bharatanatyam style, singing as he dances, every gesture musical in shape and meaning. Knight's ensemble includes dancer master and vocalist Vidya Sankaranarayanan, vocalists T. Vegavahini and Usha Shivakumar, flutist T.R. Moorthy and percussionist Douglas Knight. Held in collaboration with MITHAS.
