Odissi Dance Program
Sonali Mishra presents an evening of Odissi dance, the 2000 year old classical dance style from Orissa, India. Renowned for its lyrical grace,intricate footwork, and sculturesque poses, Odissi remains one of the world's most complex and highly evolved dance forms. Sonali is a senior disciple of Guru Sri Bichitrananda Swain and Sri Ramesh Chandra Jena. She has received intensive training in Orissa, India and has emerged as one of the most promising young artists of her generation.
