Dahlia Nayar at the Burlington Public Library
Dancer/Choreograher Dahlia Nayar presents a program for Young Adults. Dahlia Nayar was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois to immigrant parents. In this program, she shares her experiences of exploring her Indian heritage through dance. She will present examples of weaving the traditional forms she trained in into her own choreography. This program is relevant to anyone who is interested in the complex experiences of trying to connect to a distant cultural heritage, and more generally, the human experience of belonging and not belonging. Willing participants will be encouraged to move and create out of their own experiences.
