Lecture and Kathak Dance Demonstration, Pandit Chitresh Das
Join us for an exceptional afternoon of Indian dance, story, and art. Begin in the galleries with stories from Hindu mythology told by Art Museums docent Shashi Chawla and danced by the young members of Chhandika (Chhandam Institute of Kathak Dance, in Cambridge). Then the Chhandam Institute of Kathak Dance and Pandit Chitresh Das will introduce us to the history, rhythms, and intricacies of Kathak dance and some stories on which it is based.
