Tibetan Monks from Gaden Jangtse Tsawa Khangtsen monastery in Mundgod South India
On December 14 through 19, a rinpoche and a geshe la are coming to Boston. These two monks are visiting the United States and Canada from Gaden Jangtse Tsawa Khangtsen monastery in Mundgod South India in order to share the rich cultural heritage and sacred arts of Tibet. Because of the majority of these monks come from very poor families and most are orphaned, semi-orphaned or displaced. The living conditions are horribly overcrowded with 7-10 monks sharing a very small room, most sleeping on the floor. The monks needs are simple but the overcrowded situation urgently calls for more rooms, food, medical care and additional monks robes. These are reasons why these two monks are touring the United States and Canada to raise funds for their monastery and hoping that these problems will get better. If you or anyone you know that wants to sponsor a monk/monks or interested to invite monks to your house/business/school/special events to perform any of the following, please contact me at 6173064126 or yenpham@bu.edu. Please pass this message on to your friends and families. Thank you.
