Karva Chauth Celebration / Sarvadev Mandir
You need to bring the following items in a thali.
Thali ( pretty one, silver or steal- not too big – becomes a problem to circulate).
Karwa or a silver or steel glass- with water for offering during puja
Dipak ( usually made of dough or clay- but a tea lite will do also)
Sindoor
Mauli
Rice
Mathari –Mathi
Sweet Mithai-Barfi.
Badam
Piece of fruit
Murti ( small of Laxmi or parvati)
Gift for Mother- in –Law or for someone older in the family if mother in law is not alive.-usually a sari.
Suhag gift like lipstick , nail polish, Bindi ,Bangles ,etc for your friend ( it could be any one)
Your own Nath or Tika if you have it. ( I do not know the reason but it is considered good to worship it- I guess to rekindle the suhag)
Rumal or Scarf to cover
Flower
We do have some Katha books available for sale at the temple along with mehandi, bangles, Bindi etc.
