| Kundalini Shaktipata Yoga: A Simple Techniqe for Every Day Life A lecture and demonstration on Yoga by Dr. Shamsundar S. Deshpande. Outline: Kundalini is the divine energy within every person and Shaktipata has been described in ancient Hindu scriptures like Bhagwadgita, Dynaneshwari etc as the transmission/decent of energy for the awakening of the Kundalini. This transmission of energy/Shaktipat can be received from a Guru in four primary ways -- through look, touch, thought, and word. In this discourse, ways to receive initiation through thought and word will be discussed. The simple technique required to practice Shaktipata or SiddhaYoga is * to not do anything and only rely on the Shakti of the Guru to perform *. An initiate must not make any effort at all; one's duty is only to surrender. The time and characteristics of the manifestation of Shakti are solely the work of the divine power (Shakti) itself. To practice this type of meditation means that one must simply allow the divine power the opportunity to perform the meditation by itself. About the Presenter Dr. Shamsundar .S.
