Kala Raksha Exhibition/Sale of Contemporary Kutchhi Textiles
Judy Frater, a Traveler, Writer, who has been developing crafts in villages in Kutch is bring a small group of about 8 including three Rabari Artists travelling from Kutchh to set up in the Harvard Museum of Natural History. They will be showing the contemporary textile arts of 6 different communities of Kutch, all based on their traditional work. Artisans are encouraged to innovate within their own traditions and design is done in workshops, with the resource of our local textile museum.
