Poetry Reading and Book Signing
Jeet Thayil, an award-winning poet, will read from his most recent collection of poetry, 'English.'
His book, which includes a free CD with music by New York jazz and fusion musicians, will be on sale.
Jeet Thayil was born in Kerala, India and educated in Hong Kong, New York and Bombay. He is the author of two poetry collections and the editor of two anthologies of short fiction. His work has appeared in Verse, Stand, Agenda, Fulcrum, The Independent and London Magazine, and other journals. His most recent book of poetry is 'English' (Penguin/Rattapallax, 2004). He lives in New York City where he works as an editor and writer.
