That Takes Ovaries
The Cambridge Center for Adult Education presents THAT TAKES OVARIES A PLAY -- followed by an open mike with the audience Directed by Stan Edelson, performed by Diversity Lab Theater Cambridge, MA June 19-20, 26-27, 2004 (show times below) THAT TAKES OVARIES is an exciting, collection of real-life stories from women and girls about the gutsy, outrageous, courageous things they have done. Short, multicultural, fun, sassy, touching, true tales of estrogen-powered deeds that range from playful to political, including women fighting for their human rights. This play is coupled with an int'l grassroots open mike movement for women's empowerment. After each performance, women and girls from the audience can share stories about times they acted boldly. Guys can proudly brag about the ovaries in their lives -- mothers, sisters, daughters. Everyone who speaks gets a chocolate egg wrapped in gold foil -- a Golden Ovary award. ~oOo~ ~oOo~ ~oOo~ ~oOo~ ~oOo~ ~oOo~ ~oOo~ WHAT: That Takes Ovaries, The Play -- and an Open Mike following each performance WHEN: June 19-20, 26-27, 2004.
