| Shri Debojyoti Bose / Sarod Recital Sarod Maestro Shri Debojyoti Bose Tabla Maestro Shri Nitin Mitta Debojyoti comes from a family of musicians. His father professor Biswanath Bose was a desciple of the Late tabla giant of Banaras Pandit Kanthay Maharaj. His mother Bharti learnt music from Mian Dabir Khan, ustad Mushtaq Ali Khan and Ustad Aliakbar Khan. His older brother Tabla nawaz Kumar Bose is a descible of the living legend pandit Kishan Maharaj of Banaras. Debojyoti is a desciple of sarod maestro ustad Amjad Ali Khan for the past 21 years. Debojyoti is also a master tabla player and he has accompanied several emminent Indian musicians including ustad Amjad Ali Khan. He has also learnt vocal music from his older brother Shri Jayant Bose and maestros Rajan-sajan Mishra of Banaras. Debojyoti is a total musician. he has over a dozen CDs to his credit. He has directed music for many teleserials and films. He was judged the best Music Director in 1999. Debojyoti has performed extesively in India and abroad. Nitin started playindg tabla at a very early age. He studied tabla under late Shri Satyanarayana and is now continuing with distinguished maestro Pandit Arvind Mulgaonkar of Farukhabad tradition. Both of his teachers were dsciples of the late Maestros Ustad Amir Khan and Ustad Ahmed Jann Thirakuwa of Farukhabad school. Nitin has played with several leading Indian musicans like Pandit jasraj, pandit rajan-sajan Mishra, Swarshree Prabha Atrey, Grammy winner Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya and pandit Partho Chatterjee and Pandit Ulhas Bapat to name a few. Nitin was the winner at the National Tabla Competetion. He has recorded with Music India. He has been a member of SPICMACAY ( Society of Promoting Indian Classical music and Culture Among Youth). He has performed in India and abroad. Nitin is an accomplished tabla performer. His solos are very vibrant and creative and is accompaniment thoughtful and balanced.
