Chhandika Annual Kathak Show
Dance performance featuring students of Chhandika, led by Gretchen Hayden, Artistic Director. Accompanied by Nitin Mitta on tabla and special guest artist George Ruckert. Reception to follow the show. Date: Sunday, May 9th 2004, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Location: Peabody School auditorium, 70 Rindge Avenue, Cambridge, MA. (Porter Square T stop. Free on-street parking.) Please join us for our second annual show and fundraiser as we celebrate Spring and Mother’s Day! Learn more about Kathak, a classical dance from North India, and the music and traditions surrounding it. Discover and help support Chhandika’s many community outreach and performance programs. And stay a while to enjoy some Indian snacks and refreshments at our reception.
