A Taste of Kathak
Performance/Demonstration—with Workshops for Children and Adults by Chhandika Artistic Director, Gretchen Hayden with Anjali Nath and Meenakshi Verma This unique workshop will start with a demonstration of Kathak followed by two simultaneous workshops, one for children and one for adults, where participants will learn footwork, technique, spins, clapping and reciting rhythms, singing and storytelling. Following the workshops, the participants will reconvene for an informal question and answer period while they enjoy Indian sweets, samosas and chai.
