performed by Vishwashanti Cutlural Association , Hyderabad, India Written by: Chilakamarthi Lakshmmi Narasimham Composed and Directed by: Sri Garikipati Subba Narasimha Sastry In the leading role Sri Gumadi Gopalakrishna as Lord Krishna and Sri Garikipati Subba Narasimha Sastry as Arjuna The central part of the story is Gayopakhyanam in which Gayu spits into the hands of Lord Krishna when Lord is performing anjali to Surya bhagawan. This angers the Lord and He vows to kill Gayu. On the advice of sage Narada, Gayu takes shelter (abhayam) with Arjuna, who vows on protecting him without knowing with whom he may need to fight ultimately resulting into one of the fiercest battles of the great epic. This playlet (padyanatakam) will be performed in Telugu, a narrative description will be given in English.
