Directions: Directions to Pomps Pond:From Rt. 93: Take Rt. 93 North or South to Rt. 495 (Lawrence). From Rt. 495 take Rt. 28 South (Main Street). Follow Main Street past the ShawSheen Plaza shopping complex up a hill past Friendly’s Ice Cream through the down town shopping district past CVS pharmacy, up a hill and into the Phillips Academy Prep School campus. At the top of the small hill there is a traffic light and Andover Inn on your left. One block past the light on the right side of the road is the Archeology Museum. Take a right turn at the museum into Phillips Street. Travel one mile and at the stop sign, turn left onto Abbot Street. Travel about ½ mile and at the fork bear right (You should still be on Abbot Street). Travel another ¼ mile and on your right you will see signs for POMPS POND / RECREATION PARK. Turn right into the driveway and continue down the road until you come to the parking circle at the end. The park and the ball fields are located on the left and is accessed by railroad tie steps.
