SAATh presents A FIRST CLASS MAN
A seminar and dramatic reading dedicated to the life to the most enigmatic mathematician of the 20th century, Srinivasa Ramanujan. Discover anew the story of an obscure clerk at the Port Trust of Madras, who was to become a Fellow of the Royal Society and of Trinity College, Cambridge, while providing, in association with his mentor, G.H. Hardy, results that continue to astound the world of mathematics to this day.
7:00 - 10:00 PM: Dramatic reading of the play, "A First Class Man' written by David Freeman, and directed by Sudipto Chatterjee and John Mathew. There will be a single short break between acts, and a ten-minute question and answer session for interested members of the audience after the reading.
