SAATh (SOUTH ASIAN AMERICAN THEATRE OF BOSTON) presents three one-act plays written by PAUL KNOX
These three plays explore issues of same-sex love in South Asia, a topic dangerously closeted both there, and across the world.
Paul Knox (writer/director) is the Executive Director of Circle East, formerly Circle Repertory Company. His work has been seen at Circle East, the Circle Rep Lab, Parda, the Columbia University Dramatists, Naked Angels, HERE, Town Hall, Desipina Productions, 42nd Steet Project and the Neighborhood Playhouse, among others. His full-length play, KALIGHAT, based on his experience working for Mother Teresa in Calcutta will be produced in NYC in the fall. He is a co-recipient of the United Nations Society of Writers' Award for Promoting International Cultural Exchange, and is a founder and trustee of the Tides Foundation -- India Fund which supports grass-roots education and community building efforts among sexually-marginalized communities in South Asia.
