Anirban Das Gupta: Sarod
Anirban Dasgupta is one of the foremost representatives of the Shahjahanpur Senia sarod gharana amongst the younger generation of sarod players. His musical education initiated under Pandit Radhika Mohan Moitra and Pandit Buddhadev Dasgupta. His musical career formally unleashed in the year 1987 when he stood first amongst all the groups of stringed instrument in the All India Radio Music Competition. He has performed at several major music festivals in India. He has also played at prestigious forums such as Yale University, Stanford University and the Ali Akbar College of Music. His US tour concludes with us. A recording of his performance was lauded by the sarod legend Ustad Ali Akbar Khan Sahib himself.
