Study of Shankaracharya Vivekachudamani
We shall continue the study of Shankaracharya Vivekachudamani ("Crest Jewel of Discrimination"), the 8th century text that summarizes the essence of Vedanta. As usual, the class will begin with prayer and guided meditation. Having concluded the analysis of the five "non-Self" layers covering the Self, we are now investigating how the two--the Self (atman) and the cosmic Reality (brahman)--are related.
