Shankar with Zakir Hussain & Gingger
Shankar and Zakir Hussain - two extraordinary artists who have collaborated over the past three decades in a variety of settings, including the groundbreaking group Shakti - come together for a brilliant evening of Indian classical music. Shankar, the soulful and virtuoso violinist, has been instrumental in popularizing South Indian music in the West. The inimitable tabla player Zakir Hussain is a favorite accompanist to India's greatest classical musicians and dancers. They will be joined by Gingger on double violin.
