Motherhood matters,Youth Brigade health fair
Wholistic Health Alliance (WHA) (a 501c3 Non-Profit) presents: 'Motherhood Matters, Youth Brigade Health Fair' 10-12: Prism of Motherhood, examining the myriad rainbow colors 12-1: Wholesome Healthy Lunch 1-3: Health Fair led by WHA Youth Brigade members Moms are one of the most stressed, overworked and under slept populations in our community. They are also often fraught with questions and uncertainties surrounding the many aspects of parenting - nutrition, discipline, relationships, values, culture and so on. The pivotal role of mothers in the health practices of the family is well documented. WHA aims to provide an informal interactive discussion platform where we will begin the initial dialogue around the tools, solutions and support for this pivotal population. There will be a panel of 3 mothers, representing different age groups. But the format will be primarily informal and conversational. With the ideas and inputs from this forum, we will announce a series of support workshops for women tackling specific topics such as nutrition, self care, emotional well being and more. WHA also believes that in order to ensure a healthier gen next, we need to bring health actively into the youth conversations. Healthy habits introduced early in life, go a long way in building healthier communities. WHA is proud to present a Health Fair organized and presented by our Youth Brigade.
