Wither, India - Where is the nation headed, the challenges before it and how do we deal with it
SR Hiremath is a political, environmental activist from India. He has worked relentlessly for over 35 yrs. in the promotion of people oriented policies & legislation, protection of rights of the tribals & rural poor over natural resources and bringing about participatory, deliberative democracy through means of non-violence, transparency and self-reliance. He will talk about the challenges in India in terms of political, social and economic spheres with focus on the marginalized communities, their livelihoods and their role in democracy. Event is Free and Open to all. Light Refreshment will be available.
