Intro to Ayurveda Introduction to Ayurveda: A Free Workshop! Friday, June 12, 6:30–8:00pm Dr. Indu Arora This workshop will explore Ayurveda, an ancient form of natural medicine coming from India. Participants will gain a basic understanding of Ayurvedic principles, which will promote health, vitality, and peace of mind. Ayurveda is a holistic approach to health that is designed to help people live long, healthy, and well-balanced lives. The term Ayurveda is taken from the Sanskrit words ayus, meaning life or lifespan, and veda, meaning knowledge. The basic principle of Ayurveda is to prevent and treat illness by maintaining balance in the body, mind, and consciousness through proper drinking, diet, and lifestyle, as well as herbal remedies. This workshop is specially designed for those who are new to this ancient model of medicine. During this workshop we will explore main pillars of Ayurvedic teachings which are essential principles of Yoga too.
