Free Course: What to do in case of a health emergency
What would you do if a loved one was having a heart attack or a stroke? Would you know how to recognize it or know what to do? Who would you call? Many in our community are at an age where they may be affected by serious health issues or emergencies. Whether these emergencies are as simple as a papercut or as emergent as a heart attack or stroke, the members of our community must first be able to recognize an emergency so they can call for help and lifesaving treatments needed. The ISW Free Health Stop and UMass Medical Students will host a free community health education course covering basic first aid, hands-only CPR and stroke recognition. Space is limited and will be on a first come, first serve basis.
