Ever wanted to awaken the painter in you that has perhaps been asleep since your school days? Ever felt that art could never be for you?  Pinot’ Palette in Lexington, MA is here to change all that.  With a mission is to bring fine art to the masses in a fun way, and to teach painters the magic of creating their own masterpieces, this unique franchise that started in Texas has now come to Lexington, MA. 

As we walk in, we are given aprons and asked to take a seat by a canvas. Paints are already set-up as are the brushes.  With instruction from expert artists we move on to copy a painting . As you look at the painting it seems impossible to be able to copy but with step by step instruction from the instructor the painting does come to life. 

The place allows friends to come together and paint together. People are allowed bring their own wine and food. There are breaks in-between the instruction when a glass of wine may add to your enjoyment. 

“I was in the hotel business and I was looking to change my career. After much research I chanced upon this franchise and decided to bring it to Lexington” says Reshma Katwa who owns the franchise. She and her husband worked hard to make the place suitable for Pinot’s Palette. They hired professional artists and the franchise was ready to roll. 

“We have a room downstairs where we can host private parties.  This is a great space for children’s parties as well” says Reshma Katwa.  It certainly was a new concept for a fun place to party.  

As I took the brush and tried a few strokes it did seem like I was not as inept as an artist as I imagined.  Perhaps there is an artist that is hidden is all of us waiting to be awakened with the touch of a teacher.  The process of painting was certainly very therapeutic and it made for an enjoyable evening.
