India Association of Greater Boston (IAGB) To Celebrate India’s 65th Republic Day
India Association of Greater Boston (IAGB) invites you to celebrate of India’s 65th Republic Day from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, at Burlington High School, 123 Cambridge Street, Burlington, MA 01803. Admission to this four-hour long family event will be free.
“Our theme for this year's Republic Day event is ‘Proud to be an Indian: Kashmir to Kanyakumari - A journey through Incredible India,’†said Dr. Anil Saigal, President of IAGB. “The highlight of the evening will be a special talent segment, in which Boston-area organizations will compete with colorful cultural items unique to the Indian states which they represent.
“IAGB has a rich tradition of hosting events that serve as open platforms for Indian Americans, and interested members of the larger community, to showcase their cultural talents,†Dr. Saigal added. “We also present a great opportunity for businesses to introduce their products and services to a significant population of South Asian Americans.â€
Food will be available for purchase and vendors will have an array of products for sale, including arts and crafts, and services.
