Sanjeev Tripathi
01/29/2014

Dwarkamai Vidyapeeth in Billerica has been active since the Fall of 2010 and has organized classes in music, instruments, Ayurveda, yoga, computers, astronomy and sciences for the adults and children in the community.  With the full –size image of Saibaba worshipped daily, it is an abode of excellence for spiritual seekers in the path of education and learning.  The Temple has a regular priest and the service schedule in the Temple is regularly updated at http://vidyapeeth.dwarkamai.org.

The Vidyapeeth is pleased to announce a year-long course of Sanskrit for adults to be taught by Dr Bijoy Misra of Harvard University at the Temple.  The classes would be divided into three segments of sixteen weeks each. They would be aimed for students to master the reading, grammar and interpretation of Sanskrit text in Indian scriptural texts.  All classes would be held at the Vidyapeeth premises at 267 Boston Post Road, Suites 9 and 10, in Billerica on Saturdays from    4 PM to 6 PM.  The first segment of the classes is scheduled to begin on March 8.

The classes are offered free but a commitment to study and attendance would be required.  A nominal donation of $21 per segment to the Temple is requested as a token contribution.  The donation is not mandatory.  The class size is limited to fifteen seats because of space and other limitations.  The class size can be expanded in case there are strong candidates.  All students are expected to go through the three segments in sequence.  There would be no inter-segment registration.

The registration to the classes is achieved by filling an application form to be obtained from Sri Sanjeev Tripathi by contacting at sanskrit@dwarkamai.com .  While all applicants would be admitted, students wishing to be in the core curriculum are required to seek an interview with Dr Misra.  Student interviews would be scheduled on February 9 and February 23 following the Valmiki Ramayana sessions at the Temple.  Students who would not be regular may continue to attend as auditors.

In case you have interest in scriptures and Sanskrit literature, you can join the bimonthly Valmiki Ramayana reading program at the Vidyapeeth.  They are held on Sundays at 3 PM.  The scheduled dates for the readings are posted at the Vidyapeeth website above.  If you have questions regarding the Vidyapeeth and wish to help in its activities, you can send mail to mailbox@dwarkamai.com.  Questions on course contents and logistics can be directed to Dr Misra at misra.bijoy@gmail.com.

Let Sri Sai Saibaba at Shirdi be with you in all your pursuits.
