Press Release
12/19/2013

Yet another successful year! New England Shirdi Sai Parivaar (NESSP) conducted and concluded its 2nd Annual Kids Academic Competitions during the weekend of 7th and 8th December. Academic competitions are a great way for talented kids to deepen their knowledge about their favorite subjects and challenge themselves to research and create.

The event from start till the end was very well planned, structured and accomplished. The joy of working as a team, “dedication filled with devotion” of the volunteers is once again proved. All the volunteers behind this happening put in a lot of effort tirelessly since past two months working on logistics, setting the question papers and organizing and made sure that everything that is needed is there from Trophies to Pencils.

The competitions were conducted in various areas for all levels from Grade 1 through 12. A total of 153 kids participated in Chess, Vocabulary Bee, Geography Bee and Essay Writing. The unique value proposition of this event was “Charity towards Community”. All the participant families were asked to donate Clothes, Shoes and Non-Perishable food items as the participation fees which will be distributed to the needy people via partner organizations life Lowell homeless shelter , Cradles to Crayons. This thought also helps in nurturing the kids about the significance of living in and for the community.

After the competitions the papers were evaluated and the award ceremony commenced in the presence of our beloved Sai.

Winners and the runners-up were awarded with Trophies and Certificates. Each and every child truly enjoyed participating in the event. NESSP extends heartfelt thanks to each and every parent for their cooperation and the zeal towards motivating their kids and help them realize their inner strengths and accomplish.

Congratulations to all the volunteers for all the hard work and making the event a huge success and hope NESSP will continue making efforts to bring more diversity in future endeavors.

“Many Scholars agree that competitions are necessary, ingrained and essential for people as they are better off when they are trying to win rather than trying not to lose as the thrill of victory is sweeter”. Such competitions help the children grow and realize their inner strengths and survive in this aggressively competitive world.
