Rishi And Roshan Tadi Of Boy Scout Troop 424 Attain Eagle Rank

Press Release
08/29/2013

Rishi and Roshan Tadi of Merrimack Boy Scout Troop 424 attained their Eagle Rank and had their Eagle Court of Honor this past June at Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Merrimack.   Troop 424 Scoutmaster Jim Jolly was the moderator of the Eagle Court of Honor and Steve Davis, Chief Docent of the Scout Museum, handed out the Eagle Awards.  Visitors came from as far away as India and California to attend the event and their graduation from Bishop-Guertin High School the same weekend.

The Tadis began their Scouting career in  2001 in Cub Scout Pack 525 of Merrimack and moved on to Boy Scout Troop 424 in 2005.  While in Boy Scout 424 they participated in the infamously large Yard Sale annual fundraiser, clean-ups of local Scout Camp Whip-o-Will and went on many camping trips including canoe trips to Belle Island on Newfound Lake, Pawtuckaway  State Park, Rhode Island ocean trip and a long-distance trip to Umbagog Lake.   Rishi’s leadership position included Quartermaster, Patrol Leader, Assistant Patrol Leader and JASM while Roshan had two long-term positions in the Troop as Chaplain’s Aid and Patrol Leader.

In 2012, both twin brothers worked on their Eagle projects and became Eagle Scouts in March 2013.  Rishi’s project was building wooden trash can receptacles to protect the trash cans and beautify Camp Sargeant Summer Camp in Merrimack, NH owned by the YMCA of Greater Nashua.  Roshan’s project was building a kiosk at the Horse Hill Nature Preserve in Merrimack, NH to reduce the confusion of the complicated trail system.   Rishi plans to attend UNH Durham to study Business Finance and Administration and Roshan will be studying medicine in college this fall.
