NAVIKA Boston presents a grand Kannada World Summit at the DCU Center and Mechanics Hall in Worcester during the upcoming Labor Day weekend (Aug 30 - Sep 1, 2013). The 3-day extravaganza offers world class cultural shows, talent contest, Yoga classes, a celebrity Cricket tournament, beauty pageant, a taste of the mouth-watering cuisine of Karnataka, and much more! The event also offers a range of engaging forums, which will showcase the intellectual and entrepreneurial abilities of Kannadigas!

Business Forum – Here you can “Innovate anywhere adapt everywhere” and explore the innovative ideas that are changing the way of business all over the world. The goal is to explore these trends through three tracks; Technology, Youth forum, and Life sciences.  Famous business leaders like Desh Deshpande, Sadananda Maiya and others are expected to attend. It will also appeal to parents and their high school / college going kids.

CME Forum - The CME (Continued Medical Education) and Doctors’ forum will cover the topics that will range from complementary medicine to the millennial diseases geared toward the population from the Indian subcontinent. The cardiovascular diseases and related chronic diseases have emerged as the major diseases both in the native and expatriate Indian population.  The CME will focus on the scope of the problem, preventive and treatment recommendations tailored to this at risk population and delve into emerging research data.

Education Forum – This is a great opportunity to enhance understanding of the selection process for highly selective schools in New England. A panel of Admissions Officers from top New England schools will discuss the kinds of student profiles they see in High School and what level of preparation goes into making one a possible candidate for these highly selective colleges. Secondly, a panel of students from the top New England Schools discusses their strategy during their high school years, and their experience at college. The final panel will be of academic intellectuals and industry leaders who will offer expert advice on the typical Dos and Don’ts of college admission process.

PMI Forum – This is in collaboration with “PMI Mass Bay” chapter. This event provides an opportunity to reflect on current skills, knowledge and best practices in program management field. In addition, PMI’s PgMP and PMP professionals have potential to earn up to 3 PDUs in this 4 hours session. Functional Managers, IT engineers, Software developers, Entrepreneurs, Process Engineers, Project Managers, project team contributors, Implementation teams and consultants, and interested individuals stand to gain from this event.
