The first Rhode Island Annual fundraiser for Sankara Cancer Foundation is slated for June 16, 2013 at the Park Theatre, RI. Eminent artists Prafulla Velury (Kuchpudi), Mouli Pal and Upasana (Odissi) and Dr. Pravin Sitaram (Mridangam) will be putting on a great show along with their students. A folk art performance will be delivered by Jhoom US!
A couple of eminent guest speakers will deliver an address on the nature of cancer and the importance of the work being done by Sankara Cancer Foundation. The venue for this event is a the historic Park Theatre, in Cranston, RI with a capacity of 1000 people.
It is going to be a fun event filled with excitement. Attending such events always gives us satisfaction of helping people in need and at the same time we also get to see a variety of exquisite forms of traditional Indian arts.
Vegetarian Indian Dinner will be available after the show.
