Film Review - Dhundh - The Fog

The Ramsay bros are doing all they can to rid this reviewer of her penchant for campy Hindi horror flicks.

Even though I haven’t the foggiest why Dhundh the Fog was made, one thing is certain, it did fog my brain up for hours after.

Starring Amar Upadhayay, Apoorva Agnihotri, Aditi Govitrikar, Divya Palat and Irfan Khan among other eminently forgettable actors, the film is directed by Shyam Ramsay and the music is by Viju Shah.

Two young ladies, scantily clad in little bits of nothing, sporting unrealistic and uncomfortable high heels fend of a crazed baddie ( Irfan Khan, whose hair style is scarier than the character he plays), in the process, killing the dude. The girls and their co-operative beaus, (all these young men do otherwise is sing and dance with them) hide the body. The girls emit blood curdling screams at regular intervals. The body disappears. The body appears.

More screaming and running up and down the stairs ensues. Cops walk in and out of the picture, peripheral characters are killed off for no reason and the denouncement is so unbelievably corny that chills ran down my spine.

The less said about the acting prowess of the stars the better! The songs are mediocre as are the song sequences.

Truly a horror film, everything about this tired, old, clichéd attempt will horrify you.

Not recommended for people of any age.
