Esha Gupta is all set to do a item number in Imran, Kareena starrer 'Gori Tere Pyaar Mein'.   The Jannat 2 actress will be performing an item song in Punit Malhotra's film which is produced by Karan Johar and stars Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor. Incidentally, Esha was roped in at the last minute and flew to Bangalore to shoot the song. `Punit had initially decided not to cast any actress for the song but at the nth hour, he changed his mind and decided to cast Esha as she was the first choice. It was sweet on Esha's part to make herself available on such a short notice and film the song-dance sequences, ` says a source from the unit.

After getting into the 100 crore club with 'Race 2', Saif wants to do films aimed for the masses. Saif Ali Khan has just got the taste of his first Rs 100 crore film in the form of Race 2 and now the actor wants to work only in commercial films for the time being. His next home production will be his last experimental film as he is keen to concentrate on only hardcore commercial cinema. In fact, Saif wants to work with commercial directors and is looking for subjects which can rake in the moolah. Saif explains, `I am looking forward to working with Sajid Khan and Prabhu Deva. I am currently working with Tigmanshu Dhulia in Bullet Raja who is a blend of an artistic as well as commercial director. He has given me an interesting character which has humour in it and it's not a dry character. Let's see how it turns out. Race 2 represents a successful film and I have realised that the numbers are very important.I want to be as successful as possible and that can happen by doing commercial films which I am going to do for a while now. My next production is probably my last niche movie unless something amazing comes along. I would also like to produce some films with other actors if I find exciting subjects. I am going to do a bit more work this year. Unfortunately we have called off the sequel to Agent Vinod, which I was excited about but we can reinvent it.This spy- meets-cop-meets commando is surely a cool idea for a movie and we can call the character Vinod but name the movie something else. Let's see how it goes.’

It was meant to be a huge marketing coup, with Salman Khan opening up the hitherto dormant Japanese market for Bollywood with a nationwide release in Japan of Yashraj Film's Ek Tha Tiger. Director Kabir Khan flew excitedly into a 4-city tour of Japan last week at the invitation the Japanese distributors Nikkatsu Corporation and the release date was fixed for April 20 in Japan. But now, in what appears to be a hasty and clever business manoeuvre, Eros International has announced the Japanese release of their 2007 Shah Rukh Khan blockbuster Om Shanti Om. Entitled Koi Suru Rinne Om Shanti Om in Japan and with Japanese subtitles the film would get  a 15-print release across Japan on 16 March.

There has been widespread speculation that Aamir Khan pushed back the shoot schedule of Vijay Krishna Acharya's Dhoom 3 when he chose to shoot for Rajkumar Hirani's film in Rajasthan. The Yash Raj's action film is presently being filmed in Switzerland with the film's lead star Aamir Khan missing in action. Mr Perfectionist is slated to join the unit at a later date. Aashish Singh, vice-president (production) at Yash Raj Films states, `We had always maintained that the film would release during Christmas 2013. So there is no question of a delay on any front as the release date remains the same. The various shoot schedules have been planned in advance and Aamir will join the unit shortly.`
