Hindi Manch Musical Talent Showcase “Chitrahaar-Ek Surmayi Shraddhanjali”

Hindi Manch is proud to announce its next event – ‘Chitrahaar – Ek Surmayi Shraddhanjali’. The program is a tribute by Hindi Manch SaReGaMaPa stars (semifinalist, finalists and winners) to 5 legends – Shammi Kapoor, Dev Anand, Jagjit Singh, Rajesh Khanna and Yash Chopra whom Indian film industry lost in the last one year.

Chitrahaar – we picked this name from our favorite old time music show from Doordarshan (TV) that delighted us with a presentation of assorted songs from Hindi movies. We are sure that this program will take you to a beautiful, nostalgic and unforgettable journey. As usual, the event will be filled with a lot of other fun-filled activities.

The songs in this beautiful geetmala will be presented by the talented semifinalist, finalists and winners of Hindi Manch SaReGaMaPa so you are in for a treat. Get ready for an evening filled with melodious songs that highlights the contributions of these stalwarts of the film industry who have left us recently. Their legacy lives on in these unforgettable songs.

Preetesh Shrivastava, President of Hindi Manch elaborated, “One of the key objectives of Hindi Manch is to bring people who know Hindi and /or want to know Hindi together. For this, Hindi Manch organizes various events and the prestigious singing competition ‘Hindi Manch SaReGaMaPa’ is one of them.  We want to emphasize that participation is more important than winning, our aim is to have participants have fun, gain experience and make new friends and engage in the vibrant cultural community in the New England area”

New England Hindi Manch' is a nonprofit organization whose aim is to bring people who know Hindi, or who want to know Hindi together by cultural, social and educational programs and activities. President Preetesh Shrivastava states “New England Hindi Manch welcomes everyone who enjoys Hindi language irrespective of their belonging to any caste, creed or culture. Here Hindi/Urdu refers to all the dialects like Bhojpuri, Awadhi, Braj, Khariboli etc.”
