Brookside Village” is a continuing care retirement community, developed by the Erickson Retirement Communities. One can purchase a unit such as a studio staring at $146,000 to a 2 bedroom, 2 baths for $258,000 to $364,000. Depending on the size of the Unit there is a monthly fee starting at $1,100 to approx $2,000. This fee includes everything in the unit except the telephone. These utilities cover a meal, use of all community areas such as card room, billiards room, library, swimming pool, hot tub, crafts studio, on site banking, medical services, postal center, maintenance oaf the apartment, grounds, 24 hour safety/security, local scheduled transportation, and cable TV. If there are 2 people in the apartment there is an additional fee of $560. To reserve your space you need to put down $1000, which is fully refundable. If your estate wants to sell the unit the management will sell your unit for you. It is a worry free environment. Dr. Dudani presented the "Brookside Village" a planned community concept for the Indian community. He urged people to think seriously along the idea, as there is a need for such a community in New England.

Janhavi Wadhwani, a teacher from Mumbai, now residing in Boston, gave a brief presentation on the "Art of Living" courses that are being conducted in the Boston area. She demonstrated to the group, the effects of the breath on the body, mind and emotions. She also spoke of the different sources of energy that the body needs and how with proper understanding and awareness, one can improve one’s health, energy levels, concentration, enthusiasm and the quality of life through the meditation process. Stress being one of the main causes of disease as well as inter personal problems, the ‘Sudarshan Kriya’ helps eliminate it from every cell of the body, bringing about greater balance. She also showed an 8 min video on the actual concept and the mission of the "Art of Living" organization.
