Kaasinath Balagurunath, 11 years old , won the 3rd prize in Intermediate percussion category (ages 11-14 years) at CMANA, NJ. Kaasinath has been learning mridangam for 4 years from his guru Shri.Gaurish Chandrashekar of Grafton, MA. Kaasinath is a 6th grader at Trottier Middle School in Southborough, MA. His other achievements include winning third prize at Cleveland Tyagaraja Aradhana 2011. He also enjoys playing carnatic saxaphone.
