India Association Of NH Donates Backpacks To Bhutanese Refugees Community

The India Association arranged donation of thirty six backpacks to the children of the Bhutanese community. Backpacks were donated at Bhutanese Center in Manchester. Tika Acharya, President of Bhutanese Community of New Hampshire (BCH) coordinated the donation. These are children from primary schools who also attend cultural education classes at the Center. Additionally, IANH donated Microwave oven to a college bound senior. The backpacks and the microwave oven were contributed by   Mr. Prithvi Kumar and Tej Dhakar.

IANH has been working with the Bhutanese community since 2009 when Bhutanese refugees from Nepal began arriving in New Hampshire. As a part of Bhutanese Refugee Empowerment (BRE) program, IANH and BCNH have teamed up in outlining various service opportunities. We are now looking for donations of laptop computers which will be loaned to college bound seniors.
