Indian Institutes of Technology Society in New England (IITSINE) held its annual picnic on Saturday, August 4th, 2012, at the Cochituate State Park, Natick, MA. About 60 alumni from all IITs and their family members gathered to meet old friends, enjoy good food, play games and of course chat in the lovely surroundings and perfect weather.

The picnic began with high energy with the early birds setting up the tables and the picnic area. People who showed up early also got hot samosas and delicious appetizers. The grill was set-up and the fires were lit to heat food and prepare tea. Roasted corn in the desi way along with boiled corn was served.
Most of the people preferred to stay near the grill and talk to each other. The best part of the picnic as always was the wide variety of food.

After the food the game of 'Tambola' or bingo was organized. Few lucky ones won prizes but everyone joined the spirit of the game.  The picnic concluded with hot masala chai.

IITSINE has been organizing the picnic for several years and it has been a hit every time.
