IAGB To Celebrate Republic Day 2012

India Association of Greater Boston, or IAGB, invites you to its celebration of Indiaâ€™s 63rd Republic Day from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2012, at Burlington High School, 123 Cambridge Street, Burlington, MA. Admission to this four-hour long family event is free. IAGB hosts this annual event in collaboration with its affiliate Saheli, a support group for South Asian women.

The year 2012 is an especially significant one for IAGB, as it is the organization's golden jubilee year. IAGB was founded in 1962, and it has established a rich tradition of providing a forum for Indian Americans, and interested members of the larger community, to display their artistic proficiencies by performing Indian music and dance items. IAGB's events also present a great opportunity for businesses to introduce their products and services to a significant population of South Asian Americans.

Food will be available for purchase and vendors will have an array of products for sale, including arts and crafts, as well as services.
