On January 14 th while many Indians were celebrating the Uttarayan or Makara Sankranti,  data indicates that Polio has been conquered. Jan 14th marked the first full year in India’s history when no new polio cases have been recorded, a milestone that just a few years ago seemed India might not reach. A great way to begin the new year!
