Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara Celebrations

‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ na not a movie, it was Gala celebrations on Diwali. Friday Oct. 21st, 2011 saw a gathering of about 200 people amidst the lush greens of classic Nabnasset Lake Country Club in the town of Westford. The event was a great blend of traditional and modern way of celebrating Indian festival of lights and the program began with Ganpati Vandana.

Onset of Navratri season begins with Garbha and it continues till Diwali. Nilu Patel and her group presented a mesmerising dance on Aaja Nachle.. and Dhole Taro..The melodious mix of evergreen songs was presented by Dr.Meena Sundaram and Sriharsha Sista who were able to bind the audience together.  Another bright voice heard was by Shikha Bajpai.

And no one can forget the applause heard after the ‘Jewel Show’ by www.RareCarats.com where all models showcased exquisite fine designer jewelry by RareCarats. The models were trained by Ruchika Arora and show was choreographed by her. Kids game was sponsored by Ravi of Aloha Mind Math of Chelmsford.

In India there is a tradition of exchanging gifts with friends and family on the occassion of Diwali and while maintaining that a total of seven Raffle prizes were announced among which there were gifts and certificates from RareCarats.com, SrijanArts.com and Cafe India Nashua. All the kids received Piggy banks from Mr Sanjay Thakkar from New York Life Insurance.

Henna corner by Anushry Kothare and Diwali workshop by Gopika Narula further enhanced the most family friendly event of the year. Kids made a Diwali Card in the workshop to be taken home and keep it in Pooja on 26th.

Friends and their groups, families, individuals all danced on the bollywood music by Midnight Productions and they went on and on and on. Some of the organizers and contributors for this Diwali Gala are Ruchika Arora, Nilu Patel, Anushry Kothare, Gopika Narula, Shobha Shastri, Neeta Datta, Preetesh Shrivastava and Chaitanya Godsay.
