Indian Bollywood Icon, Shammi Kapoor passed at the age of 79 on August 14, 2011. He will be remembered for his flamboyant style and energetic dance moves that charmed movie-goers of all generations. “He was on dialysis for the past 8 to 9 years and was admitted to hospital a week ago. He had kidney failure, and also respiratory failure,” Bhupendra Gandhi of Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai told Reuters.  Remembered best for his ‘Yahoo’ song in the movie “Junglee”, Kapoor won a Filmfare award for best actor in 1968 for his role in “Brahmachari”.  To quote him – “The most wonderful thing about the films of my times was the innocence".

While most actors refused, Sallu willingly did a cameo in Hema Malini's Tell Me O Kkhuda Sallu shares a close rapport with the Deol family. In fact, we hear he hero-worships Dharmendra.  He got close to Hema during the shoot of Baghban, where he played her adopted son. "He treats Esha like his ghar ki bachchi, " adds the source. Confirming the news, Hema says, "Isn't it sweet of Salman? He insisted on being part of the film despite being one of the busiest stars in Bollywood today."

Katrina Kaif's decision to do two Yash Raj Films (YRF) with the warring Khans - Salman and Shah Rukh - has raised eyebrows, but the actress is unperturbed and argues there are no camps in Bollywood. Katrina is set to start shooting with Salman Khan for "Ek Tha Tiger" next week and her film with Shah Rukh, which is veteran direcor Yash Chopra's untitled venture, is expected to go on floors in a few months' time. "There is a problem, there is a misconception that the media has (that there is a camp system). We all have different equations. Friendly, not so friendly, but everyone respects everyone's individuality. There are really no camps or something like that, " Katrina told in an interview.

Ranveer working hard on his physique to go topless. With everyone from action heroes like Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn to romcom stars Shahid Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor working on action films, it is now Ranveer Singh's turn. With the successes of Wanted, Dabangg and Singham, Singh, who made a name in the industry with hit romcom Band Baaja Baaraat, is itching to do an action film.  He will probably not have to wait too long, since filmmakers armed with scripts and DVDs of South Indian actions flicks have reportedly approached him.  "I have been given DVDs to watch, so that re-makes can be made. Most of these are South Indian action flicks. I am going through them and will probably say yes to one of them, " said Singh, who is currently working on his second film, Ricky Bahl Versus The Ladies, another romcom, with Yashraj productions.
