PROBLEM # 1
Which is more: 8 deciliters or 1 liter?

SOLUTION 1
1 liter.

PROBLEM #2
x^2 = x + x + ......  (x times)
differentiating both sides gives:
2 x = 1+ 1 + ... (x times) = x
so 2 = 1.
What is fallacy?

SOLUTION 2
The phrase  "x times"  implies that x is a +ve integer and so not a "continuous variable.  Soin the first place the question of differentiation does not arise.

Congratulations to Aseem Chandawarkar and Prabhakar Nadkarni, who were winners of the last set of puzzles.
