Jain Sangh of New England Inc., of Burlington, MA completed a ten day long Pratistha Mahotsava (consecration) celebrations which began on April 30, 2011 and concluded by May 9, 2011. This highly successful event was attended by over 650 individuals. Besides members and their families of Jain Sangh of New England, these events were attended by participants from various other states including New York, New Jersey and also by visitors from India.

AID Conference At MIT


The Association for India’s Development (AID) will be hosting its annual conference at the MIT campus in Cambridge, MA, during the 2011 Memorial Day weekend. This conference is an annual effort by AID’s volunteers to share ideas, learn from past experiences and plan strategies for future sustainable development efforts with the most marginalized communities in India. This year, the conference holds a special relevance, as 2011 is the 20th year of AID.

Acton Junior High School Students Win 3rd Place In The 2011 Siemens We Can Change The World Challenge!


Vrinda Agarwal, Shilpa Bhat, and Albert Kong, three 8th graders from Acton, MA, won 3rd place in the National Middle School 2011 Siemens We Can Change the World Challenge. This challenge is organized by the Siemens Foundation, Discovery Education, National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), and the College Board.
