Experiencing God Through The Power Of Silence

Press Release
02/17/2011

The Brahma Kumaris Learning Center for Peace sponsors this free experiential event, during which a gathering of interfaith leaders share how God is experienced through the power of silence.

The Indian festival of Shiv Ratri celebrates the light of God as it shines on earth, illuminating the one truth in all faiths. Through the power of silence, we can transcend the mundane thoughts of our ordinary mind and experience the deep love of the Divine. This program will feature participants from across all major faiths, and will illuminate the common language of silence that is held within all traditions.  In this program we will explore methods to dive deeply into silence and more fully experience the wonder of God. Please join us for spiritual discussion and insight, experiential meditation, performing arts, and refreshments.

The program host, the Brahma Kumaris Learning Center for Peace, is the local center of a much larger worldwide organization, the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual Organization. With 8,500 centers in 137 countries, its mission is to bring about world peace through personal transformation.
