Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Visits The Hindu Temple Of New Hampshire

On August 6th, 2010 Sri Sri Ravi Shankar lovingly called as Guruji, the founder of Art of Living Foundation (http://www.artofliving.org), visited the Hindu Temple of New Hampshire  located at 7J Taggart Drive in Nashua, New Hampshire.

A large number of devotees thronged the temple premises to get a glimpse of Guruji, who has been instrumental in propagating Sanatana Dharma around the world.  It was like a dream come true for everyone of us.  Guruji was given a traditional “Poornakumbham” welcome by the temple priest Sri Lakshmana Shastry and  others. Guruji performed archana and aarati to Lord Shiva, the presiding deity of the temple. Then he answered questions raised by the devotees. Guruji also explained the importance of meditation and assimilating the knowledge in ancient hindu texts like the Bhagavat Gita,  Yogavasishtha, Narada Bhakthi sutra and Ashtavakra Gita.

After a very interesting Q & A session, Guruji led a bhajan with the devotee participating and blessed everyone. Finally, Guruji was honored by Sri Veeramani, on behalf of the temple.

We profoundly thank Guruji for making a memorable visit to our temple.  Now, we are very confident that with his blessings and directives, the dedication and support of every one of us from the Hindu community, following our aspirations to buy the land and construct the temple in New Hampshire as per agama sastras, will be a reality in the perceivable future.

Please visit the temple website at http://www.hindutemplenh.org for more information on Guruji’s visit.
