Param Pujaneeya Didi Ma is among one of the vital forces of change for the betterment of all people in Bharat. Inspired and guided by her sadguru, Pujya Acharya Maha Mandaleshwar Yugpurush Swami Parmanandji Maharaj, she is a unique combination of bhakti and action. Didi Ma’s bhakti is the spring well from which flows the eloquence and vivid imagery that captures the audience attention. It brings home the basic truths of life helping to remove the veil of ignorance. It beseeches us to act, to serve all humanity in which she sees divine presence. Not stopping at asking us to act, to serve, Didi Ma herself is a model of action, of service to humanity. In case, we feel that our little contribution and service makes little difference, she gives the example of thousands of honeybees each with their tiny effort working together making an amazing difference in the beehive. When many persons make what seems like a small effort, once combined together, produces magnificent results. For Didi Ma there is a great desire to extend help to the suffering masses and return Bharat to its previous glorious state.

Among Didi Ma’s many projects, her concept of “Vatsalya Gram,” is unique where orphan children live with abandoned women who happily fulfill the roles of mothers, aunts, and grandmothers as part of a family unit. Each Vatsalya family includes five orphan baby girls, two orphan baby boys, one mother, one masi and one grandmother. In these family units, all three generations begin to have a purpose, the orphans receiving love and care, the mothers assuming responsibility for the upbringing of the children, and the grandmother providing much needed advice while being supported. The Vatsalya Gram is a thoughtful alternative to the concept of an orphanage, the young women’s shelter, and the old women’s home where everybody lives aimlessly. Because of this creative combination, it becomes a place with a heart where love may flow unimpeded even though there exists no blood relationship in the family. Initially such Vatsalya Grams have been established in the Holy City of Vrindaban (Mathura), Omkareshwar, situated on the banks of river Narmada, and Solan, located in Himachal Pradesh. Didi Ma envisions building many more Vatsalya Grams in different regions of Bharat, especially the backward neglected areas, as well as outside India.

Didi Ma is a firm believer in preserving precious Hindu heritage and culture. Her other projects include “Sanskar Vatika,” which educates women leaders in knowledge of Hindu culture for their own spiritual upliftment as well as to assist others, “Kreedangan,” for physical and mental training, “Gyanodaya,” and “Gyanvardhini,” to develop knowledge of Indian traditions, “Arogya Vardhini,” to understand nature-cure, yoga, along with physical, and moral training, “Udyamika,” for Vocational training to develop self reliance, “Nihsarg,” to care for Mother Nature, “Sanskarganga,” for training in Hindu sacrament and practice, “Upvan,” to learn about useful flora and fauna, “Godham,” to rear cows and their progeny, and “Sanjivani,” to search for life giving medicinal plants.
