IANH 2010 Festival Helps Raise Funds For Charity

Press Release
06/19/2010

As volunteers started to hang floral and cultural decorations and people started to fill the hallways, we all knew that this year’s annual spring festival was going to be a good one. The 2010  festival held on May 22nd at the Nashua High North Auditorium offered an opportunity for people of all ages to showcase their talents on stage and in the process helping raise much needed money for IANH public service activities. The Chief Guest Upendra Mishra as well US Rep Paul Hodes praised the IANH  on its commitment toward the less fortunate.

The food offered at the event was coined “amazing” by many satisfied customers. Thanks to Gurnaam Catering, Food and Fashion and Meena’s Kitchen who contributed to the success of the event. The day’s proceedings went smoothly largely due to the wonderful youth group volunteers who did due dilligence to whatever needed to be done. At the event, trophies and certificates were also awarded to those who placed in North-South competitions such as the math, spelling and geography bees. After the awards ceremony awards, began the entertainment segment. There were dances, skit, and other interesting items. This year there more young performers than in previous years. Totaling over 45 performances in all, it was a jam-packed night full of excitement. Aashni Ruwala, an IANH youth member and performer had this to say, “I think the performances were pretty amazing and I thought the decorations were done really well. Overall it turned out really well!” I can speak for all when I say that we can hardly wait for next year’s festival!
