TAGB Celebrates Sankranti

 TAGB organized one more event successfully at Marlborough Middle school Auditorium on May 29th, 2010 from 2:30 to 9:00 PM.  This event was part of the TAGB Silver Jubilee Year long celebrations.  MAA and ZTV super singers Anjana Sowmya, Ravi, Pranavi, Deepu and Bhuvana Kruthi  under the leadership of Sri.G.Anand singer and Music Director took part in the TAGB Swaramadhuri Telugu movie songs concert.  These famous singers group entertained about 750 people with different songs ranging from movie classical, old, modern and folk.

 Many times the audience felt that they were mesmerized and taken away to different worlds by these singers.  There were several occasions when people of all ages joined the singers on the stage to dance and sing along.  It was a memorable music night.

 Before Swaramadhuri program, TAGB organized Super Singer-2010 competitions in Telugu movie songs for 3 different age groups.  About 25 participants of ages from 5 and above took part in these competitions.  In the age group of 25 years and above, Prashanth Arram got 1st prize, Sarita Guttula got2nd  place and Jyothi Macharla won 3rd prize. In the age group of 13 to 25 years 1st prize winner was Kasyap Venuthurupalli, 2nd prize went to Niveda Baskaran and 3rd prize to Manasa Parakala.  In the age group of 5 to 12 years Mahimsri Kotamareddy got 1st prize, Srisurya Gubbala got 2nd prize, and Sreenidhi Ravipati won 3rd prize.  These winners will get an opportunity to sing in upcoming TAGB Silver Jubilee Grand Event.

 The event began with the introductory note of Cultural Secretary Smt. Padma Parakala.

The National Award Winner and Regional Sensor Board Member - ‘Sangeetha Brahma’ Sri PV Chalapathi Rao was invited as Guest of Honor for that evening function. He is also a famous folk song singer and sang many folk songs and entertained the crowd. BOT Chair Sri Mohan Nannapaneni thanked Sri PV Chalapathi Rao for being the Guest of Honor.  He was felicitated by BOT Vice-Chair Sri Papa Rao Gundavaram & Trustee Sri Purna Rao Bolneni. TAGB President Sri Prakash Reddy thanked TAGB Executive & Sub-Committee Members, and volunteers for their dedication and hard work in organizing this program.

 The entire auditorium was vibrant with a variety of Telugu songs by all these famous singers throughout the evening.  The 6hr long program ended with felicitation of the artists followed b
