Owner Satish Khakhar and his wife Sonal who came from India recently are orginally from Baroda, and are not new to the icecream industry. Their expertise is backed by two generations of family owned food processing units in India. So when Satish started work at an IT company , he also turned to his first passion - launching a food product to tap the American market. Their unique selling proposition - Icecream with India inspired flavors that are 100% vegetarian and tasteful.For this they started with an assortment of flavors ranging from your typical chocolate to intriguing and interesting flavors like rasagolla with fresh orange juice and gulab jamun with kesar badam ice cream.Sonal Khakhar who assists in the business says that till now, it has been only word to mouth marketing and the icecreams have been well received by their customers.

Neelam Wali, of Printing and Graphic services, who catered O Happy for her daughter Ambika's Mehendi Raat and wedding was delighted with their service."The flavors were incredible"she says.She has praise not only for the product and its quality but for the dynamic and enterprising nature of the couple."They are hard working and very professional"and she hopes that the community will support their venture.

O Happy selection has enough variety to pique any palate. The “exotic” ice cream flavors include , fig and walnut, cashew, raisin, mango and strawberry,kaju kismis, rose almond and tender coconut that comes with various nut toppings.In addition to these, there are “regular” ice cream flavors like extreme chocolate, Brownie fudge and strawberry. Prices are competitive and reasonable and although they have no retail outlets, they cater to weddings, graduations, birthdays and other events. Kulfi, another Indian favorite is also on their menu. Future plans include offering various delicious Dessert that are unique and would also appeal to the mainstream consumer in the US.
